Apgujeong Station–Seoul, South Korea

I spent 5 days last week in Seoul, just killing time and getting out of Daegu. I met up with some friends and had a great time. We hung out for a while near Apgujeong Station. This area of Seoul (in Gangnam, south of the Han River) is the plastic surgery capital of Korea (possibly Asia). Once in the station, you are bombarded with before/after plastic surgery advertising posters. Take a few steps outside of the subway station and you’re bombarded with 성형외과 (plastic surgery clinics).

This is a HUGE industry in Korea. Mostly used by women, tweaking their faces, getting an afternoon shot of botox, etc. are all common practices here. Take a look at this video I shot:
